I have not, but I think it’s fair to say that Joe has — a couple of strange happenings at the McMenamins White Eagle tavern. It is probably worthwhile to note that he only learned about that place being haunted after the experiences.

Just the image of someone’s olympian undead grandma … that’s where the whole trend is going, isn’t it? It won’t be long until undead Nanna returns as a cannabilistic badass ninja. There is talk of an “Evil Dead” remake….

Can we say, it depends?

I think if it is a fresh zombie, maybe it can go as fast as the person could in life. But the older it gets, and the bits start rotting out, then yes, slow zombies it is.

And they should never be faster than they were in life. That’s confusing them with vampires. So if grandma comes back as the brain-craving undead, she shouldn’t suddenly be able to move like a twenty year old olympian on steroids.

You won’t see this in the Wikipedia entry, but there is another musical tribute to Vampira worth noting, from singer-songwriter-and-really-cool-DJ Greg Kihn.

I’ll try to fix that, later tonight. I think he included a character based on Vampira in his novel Horror Show as well, so I’d like to check on that and include it in the update.

Seems like a good thing to add to Wikipedia.
